The main target of the organizing teams of ÚAMK Automotoklub Rallye Český Krumlov and ČK motorsport is to prepare, like every year, a demanding event utilizing the most attractive road sections available. “The layout of the route might be influenced by voices of the newly elected local representatives during the next days and weeks, however we believe that the long tradition of our rally will convince the majority and the event will again represent one of the summits of the upcoming rallying season,” says Luboš Šalát, the Chairman of the Organizing Committee and Clerk of the Course for Rallye Český Krumlov.
The organizers will do their best to improve the existing format of Rallye Český Krumlov by extending and modifying some special stages. “We intend to make more or less cosmetic modifications that could be appreciated primarily by spectators. With the experience from the 2018 event, namely from the Saturday leg, we wish to offer our fans more attractive spectator places combined with maintaining the compact schedule,” adds Michal Mikeš, the track chief.

Czech New Energies Rallye as a world event again
The organizers from Český Krumlov are preparing novelties also within the frame of the concurrently held 8th Czech New Energies Rallye that is a part of the World Cup for electric cars. Besides the traditional results reached on the tracks of regularity tests, in 2019 for the first time the crews will obtain points based on the amount of consumed energy, following the rules of the FIA. However it is still valid that every holder of a driving licence and a corresponding vehicle powered by electricity, CNG, LPG or any other alternative energy source may take part.

The prestige of events included in the FIA Electric and New Energy Championship calendars will be newly established by a coefficient. “We are trying to obtain the highest possible coefficient, for this reason we are preparing a demanding 3-day event with a road book containing over 600 km of total route length,” confirms Pavel Kacerovský, Clerk of the Course for the 8th Czech New Energies Rallye, adding that further details will be published by the organizing ÚAMK South Bohemia Rally Club on the official website for the rally, www.rallye-newenergies.cz, not later than in February.
